Sunraze success means more shade
FAMILY-OWNED shade structure and outdoor blinds specialists Sunraze Shade and Blinds has moved to larger premises on the Sunshine Coast to accommodate its growing business. Sunraze Shade and Blinds has secured an industrial warehouse/showroom complex at 28 Fishermans Road, Kuluin, in a deal negotiated by David C Smith and Monica Smith of Ray White Commercial Maroochydore.
Mr Smith, the Principal of Ray White Commercial Maroochydore, said owners Lisa and Shaun Latty had purchased the property for an undisclosed sum. "Sunraze Shade and Blinds had been looking for a larger warehouse/showroom complex as they had outgrown their premises at Kayleigh Drive, Maroochydore," he said. This stand-alone industrial warehouse is approximately 446sq m and sits on a 653sq m parcel of land. The new property includes offices, warehouse, showroom, mezzanine and a loading dock and it is conveniently located near the Maroochydore CBD.
"Lisa and Shaun not only have found larger accommodation that suits their business needs but the extra space is also more child friendly for their three-year-old son Cooper, who regularly goes to work with his mum and dad."
Lisa and Shaun Latty took over the business from Shaun's father Steve Latty at the beginning of last year. "We would never have dreamed that we'd be in a position we're in now so quickly," Lisa said. "We are going from strength to strength and our business is bucking the trend and will continue to do so in our larger premises. "The way the warehouse complex is laid out means we will be able to be more productive, which will mean we can pass the savings onto our customers. We have focused on superior quality at every step of the way and improving our products and our customer service. We have also recently focused on increasing the amount of commercial work we do."
